Film Favourites

Ever since I was little I've loved watching all sorts of films (or movies if you're American) but in particular it's been a Harry Potter - Lord of the Rings twosome, but a few years ago that became a ménage when The Hobbit was brought into my life! I know that The Hobbit and LOTR sort of go together but they still count as two fabulous entities. Starting with Harry Potter, I don't think there was a child alive when those films came out that wasn't waiting for their own Hogwarts letter to arrive by owl, I was bitterly disappointed when I realised that I was not in fact a witch. What can I say about the film set other than it was, and remains to this day, one of the most successful and brilliant stories ever told, and I think the fact that it was written by a woman needs to be more talked about because we aren't appreciated as much as we should be!

Moving on to The LOTR, whilst my cousins were both going googly eyed about Legolas, I was besotted with Aragorn, I mean have you seen him?! He looks like he was carved by the Gods to drive women into some sort of frenzy, I think I may actually be drooling whilst writing this. However, in case there are any unfortunate and deprived souls out there who haven't seen him, prepare yourselves:

(A heavenly chorus erupts)

You are welcome.

Now onto The Hobbit, a fairly recently made series, what can I say, I won't give away any spoilers but I'm still reeling from how it ends, I was completely unprepared. And I know you shouldn't pick favourites, but for me it's Kili, speaking of which has anyone seen Poldark? What a treat that was! But moving swiftly on, I highly recommend that anyone that hasn't seen any of these films does so as soon as possible because they will change your life for the better. I mean, if nothing else ,who doesn't want to watch Sir Ian Mckellen prance around in a floor length gown for hours on end? Am I right ladies? (Ladies agree forthwith) Now run to your nearest HMV and thank me later.
