There are so many distractions in the modern world, almost all of them being based around various forms of social media, so it's always important to 'take a step back into nature'; horribly clichéd I know, but valid nonetheless. Today I went on a walk along an old railway track (no longer used of course, would never recommend that) and I can honestly say that although I was tired, hungry, and a little bit sweaty, it was fantastic.
I walked up to the old bridge and couldn't help but take a few pictures, it almost felt like discovering a secret garden (another fantastic book). Now I'm not saying that a walk in the countryside is going to cure all your problems or make you into some sort of uber balanced Zen master but it definitely helps to put things into perspective. So the next time you're feeling unbalanced and lost, take yourself away for a few hours and remember what it's all about.
