Summer Clothing

Now, I believe the norm for posts about summer outfits is for people to take pictures of themselves wearing the clothes, however the batteries in my camera have decided to leak acid all over the mechanisms. How perfect. However, where there's a will there's a way and I've found some pictures of the types of clothes I think are perfect for summer.

 

Firstly, playsuits are very in, they have been for several seasons already and I don't see them going anywhere any time soon. I love the way Candice wears this nude coloured piece here, especially with the layers (which any fellow Brit will know are vital for us) it just looks very casual yet put together.

 

 

For anyone out there uncomfortable about getting showing certain parts of their body, or perhaps not quite confident enough to wear short sleeves, you absolutely can't go wrong with a very lightweight, perhaps cotton, white shirt. I own several myself and they are perfect for summer. They keep you cool and protect your skin from the sun, perfect! I tend to wear mine like Rosie has here, loosely tucked in to either jeans, shorts, or lightweight trousers with a pair of heeled sandals, timeless and easy.

 

And finally, for all you ladies out there who love nothing more than a summer dress my favourite kind would be something like this polkadot blue number. It's quite simple but elegant and cool, and I always love pieces with the detail at the back. When paired with a nude fedora and matching heeled sandals it is slightly more formal and eye catching, but it would work equally well with flats, saving you the trouble of buying two dresses for two different looks, always a bonus!
