Five Easy On The Go Lip Looks

They key to this post is 'on the go', I know in a lot of make up tutorials on You Tube people first apply lip liner to either the outer part of the lips or colour them in completely before going in with a second and even third product, but we all know this isn't a realistic everyday look! If you're a student or at work or just someone who's busy with errands or your children I know it's easy to skip on make up in general but sometimes it makes us feel good and more like ourselves to wear it, but we still have the timing issue! With this is mind, I've found five lip products that are perfect to throw in your bag, apply in three seconds, and not have to think about.

The first and furthest on the left in pic.2 is a new purchase from Revlon Colourburst in the colour 'Ingénue' and I'm so glad I bought this, it was £7.99 and you don't need to apply a lot so you definitely get your money's worth. It looks like a crayon but it's called a 'lacquer balm' (arty farty version of crayon) and this means the formula is really smooth and glides on easily and hydrates the lips. It has a minty smell which you can sort of taste when you first apply it but that wears off after a few seconds but the mint kind of tingles your lips and gives a bit of a cooling sensation which helps with the moisturising. The colour isn't too brown but it's just enough to give your look another dimension and I think this would look good on all skin tones.

Second from the left in pic.2 is Rimmel 'In Love With Ginger' which I can't find on the boots website but it's available in store, this lipstick is amazing! The colour is such an intense orange/ red and the formula is so smooth that you have to make sure you apply it in front of a mirror because it can move a little bit but it dries in a few seconds and turns into a matte colour. I used this a lot in summer but I think it can be worn all year round as a really easy pop of colour to any look, and what's an easier way of adding colour to your look than a lipstick!

The middle and furthest on the right in the same picture are both from Collection and they are Work The Colour Lip Butters in the shades 'Vintage Rose' the lighter one, and 'Perfect Plum' is the darker. They're only £2.50 each which is a great price and they are also moisturising and easy to apply, The formula of lip crayons is usually very forgiving. Vintage Rose is a good everyday colour if you like wearing pink but sometimes I find it's a little too pink for me so you can just dab it on for a more toned down look. Perfect Plum is a really intense purple, which you might not expect from a high street lip option but the colour pay out is brilliant. Again, if this is a little too bold for you, just dab as much as you feel comfortable with.

Finally, second from the right is a Nivea Lip Fruity Shine balm and the flavour I have is strawberry, this is the only product that is actually a caring balm for the lips but I felt I should add it as I'm getting a lot of use from it. It smells amazing and it hydrates your lips as soon as you put it on, it also adds a really lovely red sheen, the kind of 'I've just eaten strawberries' look! All of these products are quick and easy and can change up your look with minimal effort so if you wish you could experiment with a little more colour, give these a go!
