Historical Places To Visit In England

Sometimes it can feel like you need to be doing something amazing everyday to feel like you're not wasting your time but simple things are so important too because they let you slow down and appreciate what's going on around you.

I've always found a lot of peace in history and historical buildings and they never fail to fascinate me. England has a lot of history to offer and if you live here or want to visit you should definitely visit as many places that are off the beaten track as possible. There's also something magical about the rain, I'd just made it under a tree when it started pouring and everything feels so still and atmospheric. I think looking to the past is a good way to appreciate what's changed and what hasn't and it makes me feel more grounded and calm.

If you are from England or you're planning a visit I suggest you visit the National Trust website and look for places that are open because you'll get a much better idea of what it's like here than if you just stick to London and the bigger cities. There's so much to see in the world and what better way to start than on your own doorstep?
