It's easy to get caught up in the rush of everyday life, and weeks can go by before you realise that you haven't taken a moment to appreciate how nature can make you feel balanced and grounded when you let yourself relax. When I was a child I spent more time outside than I did in, I was brought up by a hard working mother so I spent a lot of time with my grandparents, and my grandfather would take me to the most beautiful parks and beaches and we'd spend hours walking around and exploring. I found as I grew up I started to take these places for granted and your focus shifts onto new things which suddenly seem so important but what's really important is to take some time for yourself and realise that you don't have to fly to different countries or go to cafe's and take perfect Instagram-ready shots to relax and balance yourself.
I'm sure everyone has their own memories and places that they feel the most grounded so if you feel stressed or like life is rushing past and you're not getting the most from it just take yourself out to somewhere that you used to love as a child, don't look at your phone and remember how it made you feel when you were younger. So much has changed in my life and I feel like there's some kind of disconnect between who I am now and who I used to be but when I walked around and remembered why this place meant so much to me I realised that we remain the same person our entire lives, we grow and we change of course, but ultimately there was a time when something meant more to you than it does now and it's good to remember how you felt at that time. It's also strange and exciting to think that in a few years from now, we'll have grown even more and our characters will have developed in ways that we can't quite be sure of yet so whilst it's vital to move forward in life, never try to forget what was once important to you.
